Agreement
The individual or party renting the studio space, referred to as "The Hirer," is responsible for paying the fees specified in the invoice. By making a booking and renting equipment at The Studio Menangle, The Hirer is considered to be aware of and in agreement with the Studio Hire Terms & Conditions, as well as the associated fees. The Hirer must familiarise themselves with these terms. Upon confirmation by The Studio Menangle of a booking request, The Hirer commits to following these terms and conditions. It's important to note that The Hirer willingly enters into a legally binding agreement with The Studio Menangle.
Payment for Bookings
Once your booking is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation. All bookings must be paid in full before the studio hire commences. $100 of booking payment fee is non-refundable. This secures your booking date and covers admin costs.
Security Deposit
There is a $100 non-refundable booking fee. We understand things don't always go to plan so bookings can be rescheduled within three business days. Any credits are to be used within three months.
Cancellation Policy
i) If a confirmed booking is canceled less than 72 hours before the booking date or if there's a no-show, The Hirer will be invoiced for 100% of the booking fee.
ii) Cancellation of a confirmed booking more than 72 hours before the booking date will result in a 50% invoice charge.
Cleaning
General cleaning is included in the studio hire rate. The studio should be left in the same tidy condition it was found. If it's left messy, a cleaning fee of at least $75 applies and will be invoiced to you (for bookings over two days, a $50 cleaning fee is mandatory).
Rubbish
We promote eco-friendliness. The Studio Menangle accepts one garbage bag per booking. Any excess rubbish, cardboard, or props must be removed by The Hirer. If the provided bins can't accommodate the excess, The Hirer should arrange for its removal when leaving the premises.
Exclusive Use
While you'll have exclusive use of the studio during your booked times, please be aware that The Studio Menangle is located next to other businesses and may have staff sharing common areas & spaces (i.e corridors, parking, bathrooms).
Bump In and Bump Out
Your booking time includes a 40 minute buffer time for setup and pack-up (20 mins each way). Ensure you book enough time. Arrive on time and leave by the scheduled finish time. Any extra time needed is charged at $100 per hour, subject to availability.
Studio Availability
Provided there are no other bookings, The Studio is available to hire seven days a week.
Pricing
Studio Hire
Half day (9 AM to 1 PM or 1 PM to 5 PM) - $200
Full day Weekends Only (9 AM to 5 PM) - $300
Per Hour - $100
Emergency / Last Minute Hire (Booked within 24hrs of required time)
Half day (9 AM to 1 PM or 1 PM to 5 PM) - $250
Full day Weekends Only (9 AM to 5 PM) - $400
Parking
Ample street parking is available outside of the studio on Station Street. 2 hour parking is available on Menangle Road in designated parking curbs, Mon - Sat.
Minors on Set
Any children or babies in the studio must be supervised by an adult at all times. It's The Hirer's responsibility to obtain the necessary permits and paperwork for child involvement before the rental date.
Additional Hours
Additional hours can be added to your booking by negotiation and subject to availability. The cost is $100 per hour.
Props, Property, Deliveries & Collections
Notify The Studio Menangle of any planned deliveries and collections before your booking. Some deliveries may be accepted the day before with prior written approval. All items must be removed at the end of your booking, and you must ensure they are insured. Items left behind may be disposed of, with possible fees.
Damages & Loss
Use of the studio and equipment is at your own risk. You agree not to seek legal action for accidents or losses on the premises. You must leave the studio and surrounding areas in the same condition as you found them. You are responsible for any legal issues, such as parking tickets or violations, arising from your shoot.
Indemnity & Liability
The Studio Menangle has insurance for the premises and its equipment but not for your equipment or personal property. You agree to indemnify The Studio Menangle for any costs resulting from your breach of this agreement.
The Studio Menangle is not liable for factors beyond its control, such as power outages or weather. If such issues arise, we may refund a portion of your payment or reschedule your booking. We reserve the right to terminate this agreement if you breach its terms or due to unforeseen circumstances.
